Where can I see Phil Carriere art?
Phil art can be found in many art galleries across Canada and USA. He is also very involved in Art Fairs across Canada and often participates in gallery events. We suggest subscribing to our newsletter to stay informed about upcoming events and much more.

Craftmanship

Can you print my personal picture with your process?
We are open to special projects. Unfortunately, most of the time, the answer to this question is often no. Because of our unique process, all images need special adjustments. Most JPG file or phone pictures do not offer the flexibility to make those adjustments.

Can we hire Phil to take a picture of our favorite subject and print it with your process?
Yes.

Is the artwork ready to hang?
Yes, it is! In most cases, the hardware for the installation is included. All you need is the hardware (hook) for your wall, as we don’t know what your wall is made of.

Can I get the artwork without the wood frame?
Yes. We would mount the print on a 6mm aluminum composite panel finish with epoxy resin like the originals. A spacer on the back can be installed. They are not apparent and give the impression the artwork is floating on the wall. We can also leave the back empty if you wish to get the artwork finish with a specific frame.

Can I order a custom-sized Limited Edition artwork?
Yes. Because the entire production is done in-house, everything is possible.

Do you sell unframed artwork?
Not at this time. The reflective aluminum we use is not an easy material to work with. All the components in the process are there for technical reasons as well as aesthetics. Without them, we could not guarantee the artwork would last a lifetime.

Where are editions produced?
What we call “The Factory” is located In Montreal, Quebec. It’s at 99 Chabanel street, and you are more than welcome to visit us.


About the editions

How many editions are available?
All images can be done in custom or standard sizes, with color variation and/or different framing processes, but with all variations combined, an image will never be printed more than 99 times. In short, when the picture is taken, the camera gives a number to the image. This number will be printed 99 times (unless mentioned otherwise), regardless of size, color version, or framing process.

What is the difference between a Standard Edition and a Prime Edition?
The standard editions are printed on aluminum, mounted on a faceless maple frame, finished with epoxy, and then waxed for ultimate protection. It takes +/- 8 hours to complete. The same printing process is used for the collector edition, but the artwork will be framed differently. The epoxy will be sanded, polished, and finished with hard wax. It may take a whole week of hard work to complete only one prime edition artwork.

Do you authenticate the artwork?
Yes. All artworks have a discrete signature on the front. On the back, you will find the certificate of authenticity and a tag with all the information about the image as well as the artwork it self.

Is the art signed?
Yes. Discreetly on the front and twice on the back.


Purchasing

Can I purchase it online?
The short answer is yes. With that said, I will need to know where you have seen our work first. If you first saw it in a gallery, the gallery must be involved in the purchasing process. We might even recommend you buy the artwork there if they have it in stock. We have the opportunity to be represented by amazing galleries and people throughout America. They invest a lot of time and effort to help us shine and show our work to the public. If they are the reason you know about us, it’s only normal they get involved in the process.

How can I buy your work online?
When you click on an image in the collection/shop section, you will see a Buy/Inquire button. By clicking on the button, you will be brought to a form where you can request a quote, buy or ask any questions related to this artwork.

Care and Installation

How do I light my artwork?
This is a hard one to answer. There is no special lighting required. 45-degree angle light seems to work a little better. Still, whatever your light installation is, there will always be a time when the artwork shine and others when it doesn’t depending on where you stand. The difference between the ambient light and the light that hits the artwork has more impact than the lighting system itself.

How do I clean my artwork?

Image Surface:
Extreme caution should be used whenever it is necessary to clean the surface of your Fine Art photograph. Per the manufacturer’s instructions, dust the picture glazing with a soft, damp cloth or chamois. Apply only light pressure, rinse with clean water, and dry by blotting the cloth. Dry or gritty cloths may cause surface scratches and create a static electric charge on the surface.

Do not use window cleaning sprays, kitchen scouring compounds, or solvents such as acetone, gasoline, or lacquer thinner to clean your image, as this may cause permanent damage to your image.

Frame
Our wood frames have a protective wax finish that, when handled properly, should not require care other than periodic dusting. A soft, dry cloth may be used to remove spots or debris. Avoid the use of liquid and chemical cleaning products, as these will cause the protective finish to deteriorate over time.
